Today in Philippine History:

Filipino Scientist, Gregorio Y. Zara was born in Lipa City Batangas. In 1955, he invented the first video phone. He discovered the physical law of electrical kinetic resistance called the Zara effect. In 1978, he was conferred the National Scientist Award by President Ferdinand E. Marcos.Zara died on October 15, 1978 at the age of 76.
