TODAY IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY

The Tejeros Convention was held. The Tejeros convention was the meeting held between the Magdiwang and Magdalo factions of the Katipunan at San Franciso de Malabon. This is considered the first presidential and vise presidential elections in Philippine History.

The members of the Katipunan were the only Filipinos who took part in this election. Andres Bonifacio, the contemporary Supremo of the Katipunan presided over the election.
