Marcos appeared on TV pledging not to resign and promising to crash the rebellion.

More soldiers defected as loyalist Marines attacked the human barricades with teargas. A Marcos TV appearance dispelling rumours of fleeing the country was cut short by rebel soldiers seizing control of Channel 4. Marcos aired a message in a loyalist controlled TV station Channel 7 insisting he would not step down. At this stage, the United States already made an appeal for him to step down.
