Today in Philippine History

The Philippine Heart Centre for Asia in Quezon City was inaugurated with Dr. Avelino P. Aventura as the first director. It was established through Presidential Decree No. 673 issued by President Ferdinand Marcos.

It is a hospital and state of the art research centre for heart and related diseases. As symbolized by its four-heart logo, the Heart Center offers a comprehensive program of patient care, education and training, research, and public information
