Today in Philippine History

Acting based from Catholic Bishop of the Philippines’ (CBCP) assessment and observation on the conduct of the just concluded polls, a statement was released condemning it as fraudulent. The decision to come out with the statement was based on the following observation of irregularities:

  1. The systematic disenfranchisement of voters
  2. The widespread and massive vote-buying
  3. The deliberate tampering with the election return, and
  4. Intimidation, harassment, terrorism and murder
