This year, to celebrate the following timelines:
- 118 years of the declaration of Philippine independence,
- 50th year of New Zealand and Philippines’ Diplomatic Relations, and
- Pinoy Stop’s 4th year anniversary,
Pinoy Stop NZ is initiating the “2016 Young Pinoy Artists’ Festival.” This year’s theme is:
“Our Generation Z’s Take on Filipiniana.”
This year’s event is divided into two parts –
- Creation of Artworks, and
- Art Festival (Art Exhibit and Silent Auction)
“Creation of Artworks” ran up to 30th May while the Art Festival (Art Exhibit and Silent Auction) will be held on the 25th of June, 2016 (Saturday), from 2-5pm (Thistle Hall, Wellington CBD).
Participants are divided into two age groups – namely, Juniors: 5-10 years old and Seniors: 11-16 years old. The artworks will then be displayed and auctioned off to all the guests. 10% of the selling price will go to the artist’s charity of choice (chosen from a list of preferred NZ charity). The rest of the money will be given to the artist. There will also be an opportunity to meet and greet the young artists.
We are inviting everyone to support and encourage our budding Pinoy artists.
