We are pleased to announce that the annual Young Pinoy Artists’ Festival is back for its 3rd year!

This year, we focused on introducing the colourful Philippine Festivals to our young Filipino Artists. We aim to help them appreciate their culture and heritage by giving them a glimpse of our colourful celebrations. We’ve challenged them to create artworks based on their interpretation of our famous Philippine Festivals. This year’s theme is:

“PHILIPPINE FESTIVALS: A Celebration of Colours and Culture”

This year’s event is divided into two parts –

1. Creation of Artworks, and
2. Art Festival Day (Art Exhibit and Silent Auction)
The creation of artworks will run up to 3 August while the Art Festival Day (Art Exhibit and Silent Auction) will be held on the 25th of August 2018 (Saturday), 2:30-5 pm, at the Dowse Art Museum in Lower Hutt.

Participants will be divided into two age groups – namely, Junior Artists (5-9 years old) and the Senior Artists (10-16 years old). The artworks will then be displayed and auctioned off.

We are inviting everyone to support and participate in this event by:
– Encouraging and supporting the Filipino youth to create artworks that will further acquaint them to their home country, the Philippines;
– Sharing our colourful Philippine Festivals to the next generation;
– Helping us spread the word to other Filipino families that PinoyStop NZ is not able to reach;
– Lending us materials that might be useful during the Art Exhibit Days
– Bidding on the artworks to motivate the young artists to pursue art further
