Today in Philippine History

General Emilio F. Aguinaldo died of coronary thrombosis at age 94 at the Veterans Memorial Medical Centre in Quezon City. Aguinaldo is best known as the President of the Malolos Republic.

He is best remembered for his proclamation of the Philippine Independence on June 12 1898 in Kawit, Cavite.
