#SALAWIKAIN: “Kung may isinuksok, may madudukot”

Similar to “A penny saved, a penny earned”.

A salawikain that reminds us of the value of saving for the future. It tells us of the importance of conciously putting asside surplus money so that in emergencies, money will be available.

The cartoon shows of a kid trying to get the money he has saved. He is thinking of what he can buy from what he had put asside.

This Filipino proverb reminds everyone of the importance of being wise with money or anything of value. This can also be expanded to anything that can be invested on. An example is one’s health where investing in health would mean enjoying life once you’ve become older. Another way to put this salawikain in a different context is when we invest in friends by taking care of them. This will result in friends paying this back when you are in need in the future.
